How far can Explorer LR 4 V2 O4 WIDE fly?
DJI lists the O4 Air Unit video transmission range at up to 15 km under FCC conditions in an open, unobstructed, interference-free environment. That is a transmission spec, not a guaranteed flight distance. In real flying, range depends more on battery choice, wind, route, return margin, and local rules. For typical Explorer LR 4 long-range flights, 3-5 km is a realistic reference distance.
I have the V1. What should I buy to update it to V2?
V2 changes the camera mounting structure. Apart from the front and rear arms, most frame parts are different, so a small parts swap is not the clean path. If you want to update a V1 build, we recommend buying the V2 Frame Kit directly.
What should I do if my LR 4 V2 has jello in the footage?
If your LR 4 V2 footage shows jello, bend and route the coaxial cable as shown in the reference image below.
Does it support RTH and failsafe return-to-home?
Yes. Explorer LR 4 V2 O4 WIDE ships with RTH configured from the factory. It can support return-to-home and failsafe return-to-home after signal loss. Before long-range flights, always confirm GPS lock, home point, failsafe behavior, and local flight conditions in a safe open area.

The Drone Kit image shows a dual-antenna mount. Is that a problem for installing the O4 Wide Air Unit?
No. The Drone Kit is installed with the dual-antenna printed mount by default, but the accessory pack also includes an extra single-antenna printed mount. If you are installing the O4 Wide Air Unit, you can replace the mount yourself.

What are the two side plates used for?
The drone is designed to be lightweight. In windy conditions, the two side plates can be installed to add support and improve frame stability.
How do I install the side plates?
Remove the screws at the bottom of the motors, then secure the side support plates together with the motors.
